The tank is already in the capital
AI does not persuade; it concludes, removing the interval in which doubt might have lived. What remains is fluency mistaken for truth, and consensus reduced to the absence of difference.

To conquer a nation, one does not need armies across it. A single tank in its capital suffices. The symbol commands; reality complies.
The gardens of social media came first. Enclosures of likeness built by machine-learned clusters. What you return to returns to you; until it stands in for the world. Preference, belief, prediction; all formed within the same bounded mirror. This was called consensus. It was only proximity.
Now the next form. The same thoughts appear in different minds. Same structure. Same language. Same confidence. Not earned. Not contested. Delivered. First as phrasing in feeds, then as answers from AI; clean, fluent, finished. They return as “original” thought, carried by men, spoken as their own.
Power no longer seizes systems; it precedes thought, writing it before it is even recognized as such. AI does not persuade; it concludes, removing the interval in which doubt might have lived.
What remains is fluency, and man, who mistakes smoothness for completeness, accepts; who mistakes clarity for truth, submits. Call it consensus if you wish; it is only the absence of difference. The thought arrives, and the question does not.
The tank is already in the capital; and the capital has moved inward.
