The AI Summit and the sameness problem

At the AI Summit, the sameness of AI products and marketing is hard to miss. Credibility will belong to companies with sharper, truer, more specific stories.

The AI Summit and the sameness problem

note · LinkedIn

From the AI Summit, it’s impossible to ignore that there are far too many solutions offering essentially the same thing. The messaging is uncomfortably similar, noisy, and lacks credibility.

This AI-infused-solutions-tsunami is breaking not just products but marketing in most organizations. Everyone is ‘AI powered’, ‘transforming’ or a ‘platform’. The more universal the claim the less believable it gets.

Marketing teams have to climb out of shallow AI language; by saying something sharper, something truer, something almost uncomfortably specific. The winners in this market won’t be the loudest; but the ones who will tell a story only they can tell.
